Increasingly, companies that manufacture quality clothing are repairing their clothes for customers, something fast fashion doesn’t provide. Odds and Ends for the Fall:
• Don’t clean up your garden too early. Beneficial insects often rely on the end-of-season protection from your garden.
• You can run over leaves in your yard with your lawn mower to create mulch and again protect beneficial insects. However, leathery oak leaves do not decompose as easily as leaves such as maple.
• Green up your Halloween by using natural decorations such as pumpkins, hay bales, scarecrows, ghosts made of sheets, etc.

• Finally, gather with friends at events such as BHCC’s Talent Show on October 26, and the new ToGather events.
