On August 8, 2021, our group of 7, all members of Bower Hill Community explored Boyce Mayview Park. The temperature was in the 70’s with some cloud cover. The plan was to walk the trails around the perimeter of the lower part of Boyce Mayview Park. We started at the Boyce Garden’s parking area. We followed the Upland Trail which in the summer is a nice single track trail through the woods. The Switchback trail took us down to the Trillium Trail which follows Chartiers Creek. We crossed the dam that forms the Penndot Wetlands Pond and continued on Duckbill Trail having the pond on our left and Chartiers Creek on the right. We utilized the Wetlands Trail, Little Falls Trail, Many Habitats Trail and Old Oak Trail to complete the loop. Lots of good conversation and exercise were had by all.
