On December 7, 2024, 2 members of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the Brush Run Road to Steward Road section. We started in a new housing development near Library. After hiking down to the trail, we walked the newly opened section that goes behind the self storage buildings. Although, it is a very short section, it eliminates walking or biking on Route 88. We returned on the short section, then hiked to bridge over the trolley tracks and Route 88. After a while we passed by the horse farm. Shortly after that we looped around the Y formed by the Montour trail and the extension trail that goes to Al’s café. We retraced our steps back to the car. By this time, we were getting a little warm despite the somewhat cold weather. |
