On September 16, 2023, a group of 3 members of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the Wingfield Pines Restoration Area. We had originally planned on hiking in Raccoon Parks Wildflower Reserve but decided to keep it closer to home. We had hiked this area a couple of years ago. The water level of the swampy area was higher than before so short sections of the trail were covered with water. But we were able to divert around them. There were signs of beaver activity and some late blooming wildflowers. It was a beautiful crisp fall day.
